America’s Top States for Business 2012 per US Business News – CNBC

… JOBS follow business success … however, there are two oddities in the Top 5 list: Virginia and North Carolina.

Virginia dropped officially to Nr.3 because business analysts believe that Virginia is too dependent upon defense and federal contracts to undergird its economy. Truth! Truth even though Virginia has a very enviable unemployment rate.

North Carolina is also an oddity. The unemployment rate is skyhigh in North Carolina … and is just about the only state not to see any improvement since 2010. However, North Carolina is hustling to bring business back home and there are business deals to be made.
