JOB DESCRIPTION:

Cryptologic linguists shall have a minimum language proficiency rating of 3/3, as measured by the Defense Language Proficiency Test (DLPT) or an equivalent U.S. government-accepted test instrument. All categories of cryptologic linguist shall have a linguistic proficiency of the target language and the specific knowledge, talent, and skills necessary to perform the assigned voice and/or graphic tasks with minimal supervision; an ability to compile and update operational working aids and databases with minimal supervision; a command of the target language as well as excellent verbal and written American English language capabilities (grammar, vocabulary, idioms, spelling) because linguist work products are prepared in both languages.

The Mission Integration Business Unit has multiple openings for Full Motion Video (FMV) Analysts supporting the US Army Special Operations Command (USASOC) at Ft. Bragg, NC.

NOTICE: This position involves OCONUS deployments of up to 180-days to hazardous duty locations.

JOB DESCRIPTION: The successful candidate will obtain a job as part of an integrated government-contractor team providing direct support to forward operating personnel within the U.S. Army Special Operations Command. As a member of this team , the successful candidate will exploit Full Motion Video (FMV) imagery in a high ops tempo intelligence fusion environment working 24×7 rotating shifts and supporting rotational assignments to OCONUS forward operating locations. The successful candidate will analyze primarily FMV imagery to produce intelligence supporting deployed forces engaged in counterterrorism operations. The FMV Analyst candidate will also research and integrate multi-source intelligence information, NTM data, and geospatial data sources to produce imagery-derived intelligence products and reports for publication and distribution to a broad range of customers as well as prepare and present briefings to senior level officials.

SCOPE: This job requires the successful candidate to primarily exploit FMV imagery collected by ISR sensors; however, the position also requires the FMV Analyst candidate to exploit and analyze a variety of imagery types including NTM. The analyst will provide imagery analytical tradecraft in direct intelligence support to the Warfighter, policymakers, and the Intelligence Community. The analyst must be familiar with a range of intelligence disciplines beyond IMINT; primarily HUMINT and SIGINT enabling the successful candidate to integrate data as applicable in order to provide a product depicting a more complete picture of specific customer analytical issues, identify intelligences gaps, and prepare intelligence requirements as needed. As a member of this team, the successful candidate will also provide situational awareness to analysts and customers through the assembly of daily intelligence documents, briefings, and datasets.

REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: A high school diploma is required; however, a Bachelor’s degree in a geoscience related field is highly desired. Candidates must have successfully completed a basic intelligence training course. Military or government Imagery Analysis training course or equivalent to the Geospatial Intelligence Training Program (GITP) is highly desired. Candidates must possess a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience (recency of experience must be within 18 months). Training or experience in GIS applications and technology is highly desired.

REQUIRED SKILLS: The successful candidate must possess previous experience as a FMV Imagery Analyst, preferably in support of counterterrorism missions. Candidates must demonstrate mastery of fundamental imagery interpretation tradecraft skills to include basic photogrammetry, plotting, map reading, and object identification by order-of-battle, facility identification and description by purpose and function; thorough understanding and application of the FMV sensor types; developed expertise in at least one geographic region or functional area; and, developed expertise with foundation applications and tools (e.g. Multi-INT Analysis Archive System (MAAS), mIRC, IEC, Remote View, IESS/NES, RULER, INTELINK, common office automation applications). A demonstrated ability to work as a contributing team member and communicate effectively in writing and orally using proper English grammar and stylistic conventions is a must. Additionally, successful candidates will be required to complete important assignments on a short schedule, learn quickly, and possess the ability to accomplish tasks under limited supervision. The successful candidate must possess a strong attention to detail where the high quality and absolute reliability of intelligence products is essential.

DESIRED SKILLS: Experience with related skills such as Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and applications (e.g. ESRI ArcView) and experience with the use and application of multi-spectral imagery and image processing applications (e.g. IMAGINE) is highly desired.

JOB DESCRIPTION: Provide analysis of data and support to theater operations through multi-INT fusion and the integration of National and Tactical ISR sources.

SCOPE: Provide research and analysis of data to integrate findings into intelligence products in support of Combat/Crisis Operations and customer needs. Integrate data as applicable in order to provide a product depicting a more complete picture of specific customer analytical issues; identify intelligences gaps; and, prepare intelligence requirements as needed. Disseminate both preliminary and finished and geospatially-based intelligence products that contribute to demonstrated impact across the Military, Intelligence, and Policy-making communities. Provide situational awareness to analysts through the assembly of daily intelligence documents, briefings, and datasets. Create, update, and manage databases and products in coordination with multi-INT fusion analysts. Provide data to the analyst in the form of shapefiles and accompanying video files for the analyst to incorporate into ESRI ArcGIS 9.2 GIS projects.

REQUIRED EDUCATION: A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or 8-10 years of related experience. Candidate must have successfully completed a military or government Imagery Analysis training course equivalent to the Geospatial Intelligence Training Program (GITP).

SKILLS: Candidates must demonstrate mastery of fundamental imagery interpretation tradecraft skills to include basic photogrammetry, plotting, map reading, image orientation for stereo viewing, equipment and object identification by order-of-battle, facility identification and description by purpose and function; thorough understanding and application of three basic sensor types: Panchromatic (optical and electro-optical), thermal infrared, and synthetic aperture radar (SAR); experienced in exploiting motion/full motion imagery; developed expertise in at least one geographic region or functional area; developed expertise with foundation applications and tools (e.g. Light Table & Optics, IEC or equivalent, commercial ELTs, IESS/NES, RULER, INTELINK, common office automation applications); experience with related skills such as Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and applications (e.g. ESRI ArcView); experience with the use and application of multi-spectral imagery and image processing applications (e.g. Leica IMAGINE); thorough familiarity with collection tasking procedures for NTM; ability to communicate effectively in writing and orally using proper English grammar and stylistic conventions. Additionally, a demonstrated ability to work as a contributing team member is a must. Successful candidates will be required to complete important assignments on a short schedule, learn quickly, and possess the ability to accomplish tasks under limited supervision. The successful candidate must possess a strong attention to detail where the high quality and absolute reliability of intelligence products is essential.
